Brent W. Warberg

Brent W. Warberg holds two Master’s degrees, one in Emotional Disturbance from Montana State University – Billings and the other in Social Work from the University of Georgia.  In addition he has received over 350 hours of instruction in human behavior at the FBI Academy in Virginia.

Mr. Warberg began his work with sexual offenders while a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  At that time most of his work and research was in the area of serial offenders; rapists, child molesters and murderers.  After his retirement from the FBI he became a licensed clinical social worker and has worked exclusively with sexual offenders to the present time.  Mr. Warberg also became a polygrapher and since that time his polygraph practice has involved only sexual offenders or those individuals accused of sexually offending.

Mr. Warberg has traveled all over the United States and Canada presenting programs and conferences on issues related to sexual offenders.  He was one of the initial polygraphers in the first study of the use of the polygraph in the United Kingdom as a means of assessing risk and accountability of sexual offenders.  He was also a member of the first faculty which taught the first polygraph class in England.

Research is a major interest for Mr. Warberg.  He has written numerous journal articles and book chapters dealing with sexual offenders as well as the use of the polygraph with sexual offenders.  Additionally Mr. Warberg is on the faculty of one of the major polygraph schools in the United States.  Currently he is a polygrapher as well as a therapist working with sexual offenders.
